What is your favorite style of meditation?

meditation is one of the more powerful ways we have to calm our minds and improve our somatic nervous system. The benefits of meditation are great, and are now being backed by multiple scientific studies. What is interesting however, is that there are a multitude of techniques for meditation that come from various cultures around the globe. In the scientific studies I have read thus far, there does not seem to be any technique that give the best results, it seems that just doing it is more important than what technique you choose to do.
However, in terms of actually sticking with it, then there are differences between techniques. Some techniques seem to be better in terms of creating a daily routine than others. So, if you meditate, did you explore various methods before settling on one, and which one did you finally find worked best for you?
