Are E-Sports considered sports?

In recent years, online gaming has become a massive industry, even spurring its own competitive market. I've even seen gaming competitions on certain ESPN channels. But, does it constitute as a sport? Competition is nothing new to gaming but recently, the term "E-Sport" has been coined to describe a variety of gaming competitions. The competitions involve teams, salaries, and even prize-purses. There isn't a demand for physical aptitude, but dexterity and strategy are involved just the same. But, in the same instance, you can have two people chug a beer head to head and slap the word "sport" on it just the same. So, where do we draw the line? Do e-sports fall under the category of "sports" or just a competitive craze?

The Waitress wants your take on these quandrees too.
